Puppies, Rainbows and Winners
February 2, 2006 – 5:13 amBefore I get a representative of PETA coming by to wonder if any animals were hurt in the judging of this event, I thought I would lay our plan for you on how we intend to announce the winners. Between midmorning today and tomorrow evening, I will be announcing the winners in each category. This is necessary since we are still judging a couple of the categories and finishing reading some of the blogs. This was necessary because a number of judges have not had the time to read them all, including yours truly.
We will be contacting those that have won in each category to get them the information on how they can get their prizes. If a winner in the category should for any reason not want to accept the prize, it will be offered to the runner up in each category who may then elect to accept the prize. We will be posting First, Second and Third Place winner in each category, and the prize may be accepted by any of the three. We had to show the three places as some of the categories had a three way tie for First Place. That is how close the judging was in most of the categories. All of the participants and nominees should be commended for a job well done. We will have finalist buttons made for all of the finalists in each category and a Best of Blogs Winner buttons for the winner of each category.
I need to personally thank all of the judges as they worked very hard to make sure that they read all of the finalists and spent an inordinate amount of their own free time making sure to read and evaluate all of the blogs. You may certainly show your appreciation to all of them by geting over to their blogs and reading what they write. All of them are very talented and superb blogger. I would even invite you to add them to your daily reads.
And the winners are…

So I had this dream last night that every morning, I got up and checked this website and there was a new post saying that the winners would be up very soon and the next thing I knew, I was 92 years-old and still wondering if I placed and then I woke up.
Thank God it was just a dream.
Just kidding. It gives me a migraine to think about reading all those blogs and crunching all those numbers.
You judges are saints. I’m applying to the pope for a whatever-it-is (a saintship?) for each of you.
Thank you for giving this competitive bitch a new reason to blog away my baby’s naptime.

Well, aren’t we always!
