The BoB Awards 2006: Timeline To Las Vegas

We have had to reduce the categories somewhat this year and you will be able to see the types of blogs for each category. We are finalizing the judges panel, the rules and the details, but the BoB Awards are finally going to take place. We have been working very hard behind the scenes and as always it has taken a little longer than we expected.

Nominations will begin on Friday, February 2, 2007, and will run through midnight EST on February 16, 2007. Following the nomination period, we will have voting begin on March 2, 2007 (since you’ll all be out buying my birthday present for March 1) and the voting will end march 16, 2007 again at midnight EST. Winners in each category will be announced on March 19, 2007.

The excitement does not end there for the winners in each category. Our title sponsor this year are the fine folks at Blog World Expo! The Blog World Expo is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center on November 8-9 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The cool part is, our blog winners will be presented their awards at the convention! Yeah, dust off those dice, we are talking Sin City baby! Anyone that does not want to pick up their award, can have me accept on their behalf if you are filming on location. This is going to be the Blog Event of the year! Now you know why it has taken so long to get off the ground.

We will be providing more information before the nominations, but I wanted to get the word out to have the avalanche of nominations begin. We have invested in some polling software this year that will be perfect for our needs, and we will give all the details of the rules and regulations and what all the prizes will be as soon as they are finalized completely and as my staff and I have enough time to stop ride we call BoB Awards 2006!
