Best Of Blog Awards Extended
March 28, 2008 – 10:34 pmEarlier in the week I mentioned there was a good chance the nomination period would be extended due to the technical errors we experienced during the first week or so of this years event. Today we make it official. To those that have left nominations since this year’s awards began back on March 1st, please rest assured that your nominations have not been lost and were recorded. For those of you who have not gotten around to nominating your favorite blog yet…...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! Time is running out and categories are filling up. Stop what you are doing and get in on the action. Below is a new schedule of how things will proceed from this point on:
- Nominations end April 21st
- Two weeks later on May 5th the Top 10 in each category will be announced and voting will begin.
- May 26th marks the date that a winning blog in each of the 23 categories will be announced.
Again even though we are having one of the largest responses ever, we are extending this years awards in order to make up for technical errors that may have thrown some visitors for a loop during the first week. Take advantage of this time by spreading the word, getting your blogrolls nominated, and preparing your readers to vote when you make the Top 10.

Just FYI, it seems you have written March 26th rather than May 26th as the date the winners are announced – that will only confuse everybody even more!

Hurray, blog awards for “the little guy”, excellent news!
Obviously I browsed the category I am adding myself to and I must say, “I think this world is perfect” was absolutely the right choice for winner last year. I love it already!
Anyway, here are my very simple but highly precious musings.

In the Single Parent Dating category (or something similar), I submit Dad’s House – Dating & Parenting by a Single Dad. Offering stories and expert advice about single parenting, two-household families, and relationships formed in an age of internet dating, text messaging, friends with benefits, hookups, and booty calls. With a few food and cocktail recipes thrown in for good measure.
